Naked Soul

This painting is part of a series that explores inner space, representing the empty spaces within us and our mental health. It reflects how we often reveal only select parts of ourselves, keeping our most vulnerable aspects hidden. At the same time, it acknowledges the strength found in detaching from parts of ourselves that are no longer needed. The freedom that comes with this detachment and acceptance leads to the emergence of inner space—stillness and a quiet peace within.
Being naked is often seen as the ultimate form of exposure, but is it really? Are we ever truly naked? Is our soul ever fully exposed? We tend to conceal our naked souls, revealing them only to the few truly special people in our lives, and even then, it can be difficult and frightening. In this piece, I aimed to depict the naked persona, with the soul still hidden away.
