Collection: Gillypottery

I trained at the Aylesford School of Ceramics under master potter Mark (Billy) Byles, honing my skills in traditional wheel-thrown pottery. My work has been exhibited at South East Open Studios, Stark Gallery in Canterbury, and Gallery 35 in Cranbrook.

Working primarily in stoneware and porcelain from my studio in Biddenden, I create functional pieces designed for everyday use. While I am drawn to classic forms, I am continually exploring new techniques, particularly in surface design. Lately, I have been experimenting with carving to add texture and depth to my work. Glazing remains an ongoing fascination - each piece is an opportunity to refine and push the boundaries of colour, finish, and layering.
