Collection: Bartlomiej Smyka
Bartlomiej Smyka is a graduate of the University of Rzeszów where he studied linocut at the Department of Artistic Printmaking with professor Stanisław Górecki. Smyka has presented his works at many group exhibitions throughout Poland.
He also is no stranger to the pencil and the brush as he often paints the landscapes of the Low Beskid mountains, a praticularly strong source of inspiration.
According to Jadwiga Steliga, “Bartlomiej Smyka’s work is an attempt at conveying emotion and awe, light and sensibility; it is, on the one hand, a realist view and an affirmation of nature, but also an impressionistic entanglement of both on the other. In his works one sees not only wonder of the landscape but also a deep contemplation of order and harmony, love and respect for nature’s beauty and the quest for inner peace and one’s place in the surrounding reality”.
This captures the essence of Bartlomiej Smyka's artistic expression and philosophy.
